Badges

I converted some of my posters into badges today. Going to see if they actually sell, I will drop some at few book shops and I am also going to ad them to my main site when we finish the shopping cart. Let me know if you would like some.

The aftermath

These shots are of the stencil I used the other day, I love the strange textures that build up of paint make.

Alley near the market

Very interesting alley not far from the Victoria Market. I like the top image which has been altered, the original version was in the 'Stencil Graffiti Capital Melbourne' book. Nice to see that nothing lasts to long on the street.

Time to let go

Also in Carlton, this truck has seen better days.

A visit to Carlton

Came across these in Carlton the other day, nice and powerful.

IR Rally

I made this placard for the big Union Rally in the Melbourne CBD tomorrow. It's a mixed media piece, constructed using paint and laser printout on 5mm MDF.

Legal stencils

Came across these interesting 'legal' stencils on some signposts in Carlton.

It begins

I finally decided to make a stencil of my own and put them up around the streets. The image above is taken from a poster I did for the Australian Poster Annual this year. It was kind of a test so I could see how the process worked first hand, they turned out pretty well after I got the hang of keeping pressure on the stencil while spraying.

Was fun and I am now planning a more extensive campaign, keep your eyes peeled.

Wandering

Images collected while wandering around the back streets of Fitzroy over the weekend.

Paper as Art

Came across a bin of shredded paper while walking down the street yesterday. Love the way the paper forms random compositions.

CD Wall

Came across this installation in a side alley the other day, I like the execution of this piece rather than the actual design. I would like to know if this is how the artist intended it to look or if passers by have gradually ripped the CD's of the board. Either way it's good to see the interaction with the public.

Annie

Images from annies show at the prince from a couple of weeks ago.
The gig was pretty good, strange crowd.

Random street art

I came across this interesting street art on my travels the other day.

Pink drips

Some interesting pink paint splatters on a wall in Fitzroy.
